A Healthy Dose of Creativity!

No matter the project you’re working on, there’s a greater purpose that’s moving the team forward. You’re not just building a senior living community – you’re creating a home. You’re not just renovating classrooms – you’re improving a space that will enrich future generations.

On our recent project for Penn Medicine Lancaster General Health, we’re not just making green space – we’re developing a place to encourage the community to live a more active and healthy lifestyle. Part of this is involving not just the team, but the people who live in the community.

Students from the nearby Ross Elementary school got involved in the project by creating the artwork featured on the fence that lines the site of the old YMCA. From kindergarteners to fifth-graders, students drew health-themed pictures that reflect the wellness topics they learn about in school.

The project’s scope includes the demolition of the former YMCA facility, which sat vacant and deteriorating for a number of years. The site will then be transformed into a green space. Open to the public, the project will provide a park-like environment for the community including pathways, lighting, landscaping, and fencing – a perfect place to practice a healthy lifestyle!
