The Wohlsen Crusaders at Lancaster’s 24-Hour Relay For Life
The Wohlsen Crusaders, Wohlsen Construction’s Relay For Life team, wrapped up their 18th year of fundraising at Lancaster’s 24-Hour Relay For Life held on June 10th and 11th. With year-round, company-wide fundraisers including jewelry, holiday wreath and flower sales, bingo events, and barbecues, the team exceeded their goal for the 2015-2016 year of $10,000, raising a total of $11,598.70 for the American Cancer Society.
The Wohlsen Crusaders placed 13th out of the 100 teams that participated in this year’s relay, joining the hundreds of people walking around the clock to raise awareness for the American Cancer Society. Together, the relay raised $715,767.86, making the Lancaster relay the third largest in the world, according to the American Cancer Society. Thank you to all the Wohlsen teammates, family, and friends that participated in this year’s relay and to all the other teams from the local community that showed their support for this important cause.
