MEP Case Study – Masonic Village at Elizabethtown

MEP occupied facilityThe Wohlsen MEP Team played a big part in our project at Masonic Village, a large senior living community located in Elizabethtown, Pennsylvania. The team surveyed all of Masonic Village’s existing MEP systems and determined how they were functioning.

Next, the team came up with practical solutions for working within the existing systems and determined how to phase in the new systems while shutting down the systems needing to be replaced.  Since the work was being done at Masonic Village’s occupied skilled nursing facility, the plan required that normal facility operations would not be interrupted and residents would not be inconvenienced.MEP occupied facility

The project was a success! Wohlsen helped the client manage their resident census by working on two stacks of resident rooms at a time, going vertically for four floors. This helped maximize resident capacity (and operating revenues) during construction while also minimizing disruption to the facility. At the end of the day, the knowledge and experience of the MEP Team contributed greatly to the project’s success.
