Wohlsen Expands MEP Team

Wohlsen Construction Company has added three professionals to the Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) team. These team members bring valuable expertise throughout all project phases, from optimizing value in preconstruction to coordinating design and construction in the field.

James J. McConlogue of Worton, MD joins Wohlsen as an MEP preconstruction manager. In this role, McConlogue will lead preconstruction and estimating services, coordinating and evaluating the pricing and design solutions for projects’ MEP portions. McConlogue studied at the West Chester University and continued his education with the NECA School of Estimating. He brings 30 years of construction and MEP expertise to Wohlsen. McConlogue has managed and directed preconstruction for a variety of high-profile projects including the electrical installation for Philadelphia’s Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts and DuPont’s Corporate Headquarters in Wilmington, DE.

Also joining the team is Mechanical Estimator, Thomas Lauletta, who will estimate projects’ MEP packages. Lauletta has nearly four decades of industry experience working as a mechanical estimator and project manager, and has successfully bid and built dozens of projects in the Philadelphia metro. He is a graduate of Widener University where he studied engineering and behavioral sciences. He continued his education by studying Plumbing Design with the American Society of Sanitary Engineers and Restoration and Cost Estimating at Spring Garden College.  Lauletta lives in Landenberg, PA with his wife, Donna, and four sons. He is a board member and coach for the Avon Grove Little League and is a volunteer and Eucharistic Minister for the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church.

Additionally, Joseph Murphy has join ed the Wohlsen team as a MEP field coordinator. In this role, Murphy will work with the project team to coordinate the mechanical, plumbing, fire protection, and electrical aspects throughout all project stages. He comes to Wohlsen with 27 years of experience in not just MEP services, but also general construction. He has led refinery revamps, nuclear outages, and high-rise HVAC projects, in addition to several others. Murphy has studied Project and Construction Management at the University of Massachusetts and the University of Delaware. He has also trained in HVAC at the Gloucester County Institute of Technology.  Murphy lives in Cherry Hill, NJ where he is involved with the American Legion.
