Project Manager/Estimator, David Porter

Wohlsen Construction has added four teammates to its Central Pennsylvania team to assist in the acquisition, planning, and execution of construction projects to support the region’s continued growth.

David W. Porter joins Wohlsen to serve dual roles as a project manager and estimator for Wohlsen’s self-perform group of concrete and carpentry. Nearly a decade ago, he began his career in construction as a laborer, quickly advancing to carpenter and foreman. He then transitioned to project manager/estimator, bringing with him hands-on construction experience and proven leadership skills. Porter studied at the Thaddeus Stevens College of Technology where he earned his Associates of Applied Sciences in Carpentry Technology.

Senior Estimator, Karl Kosjer

Continuing his 34-year construction career, Karl M. Kosjer comes to Wohlsen as a senior estimator. He began his career in the industry as a draftsman, and has since performed as an estimator, project manager, and preconstruction specialist. Kosjer has extensive experience with providing estimating services for commercial and industrial projects budgeted up to $100 million across the Mid-Atlantic Region.

Estimator, Kevin Zimmerman

Also joining our estimating team is Estimator Kevin J. Zimmerman, who will specialize in MEP services. Zimmerman brings 15 years’ experience to his position, having worked both as an estimator and as an installer of commercial HVAC and mechanical systems. Zimmerman received his Associates Degree in Specialized Technology (Information Technology – Computer Drafting and Design) from the ITT Technical Institute and is OSHA 10-certified. He has extensive experience as an MEP estimator, having previously worked on a variety of projects in the hospitality, residential, commercial, educational, and healthcare markets.

MEP Field Coordinator, Brad Zeamer

Another MEP expert, Brad Zeamer, comes to Wohlsen as an MEP field coordinator. Zeamer began his MEP career in 1983, serving as an electronics technician for the US Navy. He then worked for several years as a mechanic and engineer for refrigeration, electrical, and manufacturing systems from project start-up to continued maintenance. He completed Basic Electricity/Electronics School and RADIAC Instrument Maintenance at the Service School Command, and has also completed programs with the Naval Technical Training Command, Naval Electronic Systems Engineering Center, and the USAF Technical Training School.
