Now it is more important than ever to consider the environmental impacts of our business practices. We are proactive with regards to green buildings and sustainable business practices. By training our employees and upgrading our facilities, we feel that we are doing our part to reduce our impact on the environment.
Our business practices which we have implemented to help improve the environment:

  • Two LEED Certified Office Locations (Lancaster and Harrisburg)
  • We Purchase 100% Energy Star Equipment

Wohlsen Construction became the 3rd company in Pennsylvania to receive Green Plus Certification.
Wohlsen Construction Company received Green Plus Certification in April 2010. At the time, we were just the third company in Pennsylvania – and 67th company in the nation – to receive this prestigious third-party certification.

Wohlsen Construction receives North American Sustainable Enterprise Award.
Wohlsen Construction Company was a 2010 winner of a North American Sustainable Enterprise Award. Given by the Green Plus Institute for Sustainable Development, it is designed to recognize enterprises in a variety of sectors for the example they have set in advancing triple-bottom-line sustainability.

Wohlsen Construction was named a Certified Green Contractor by ABC.
Wohlsen Construction Company was named a Certified Green Contractor in 2010 by Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC). ABC’s Green Contractor Certification program recognizes construction companies that implement green practices and principles in the workplace, including headquarters, branch offices and jobsite office complexes. To achieve certification, Wohlsen achieved 13 prerequisites, underwent a third-party onsite assessment, fulfilled elective items, and achieved education and training benchmarks.
