Penn State Health – Lime Spring Outpatient Center

project description

Preconstruction and construction management services for a new, two-story medical office building which included:
  • Practice space for up to 45 primary care practitioners and specialists
  • Lab
  • Imaging
  • Therapy services
  • Real-time location system which uses ceiling sensors, personal badges, and mapping software to manage the location of staff and patients
  • Innovative design to allow patient’s entire visit (from check-in to check-out) to occur in the same room
These cutting-edge elements help streamline the patients’ visits, provide more privacy, and improve staff efficiency. The new facility condensed several medical offices that were spread across a large geographic area into one, convenient location. This plays a fundamental role in Penn State Health’s goal of ensuring patients in central Pennsylvania are within ten minutes of a primary care provider and 20 minutes of a specialist.
