As one of the oldest higher education institutions in the United States, Franklin & Marshall College’s picturesque campus has been situated on the edge of Lancaster City’s west end since 1787.
After establishing Wohlsen Construction in 1890, Herman F. Wohlsen quickly became involved erecting new buildings across the Franklin & Marshall campus.
With early projects like the Biesecker Gymnasium, Wohlsen forged a trusting relationship with the college.
That relationship continued into the twenty-first century. Since the 1920’s, Wohlsen has been involved in nearly twenty projects at Franklin & Marshall, ranging from facilities management spaces to academic and residential buildings.
