The Hill School – 30 Years of Excellence in Construction

Spanning 30 years from our First Place National ABC Award of Excellence in 1990 to our most recent First Place Award in 2020, Wohlsen continues to deliver award-winning projects to our clients throughout the Mid-Atlantic and Northeast regions.

The Hill School is just one of the many clients that Wohlsen has been honored to work with over the years. Their Performing Arts Center project was first recognized Nationally in 1990 and based on the exceptional services and Wohlsen’s ability to rise to the many challenges of this complicated project, Wohlsen was asked to construct the new John P. Ryan Library, which was recognized locally with an Award of Excellence in 1991.

Building on the success of these two projects, Wohlsen has continued to team with The Hill School on numerous projects over the next three decades, many of which were recognized with local Awards of Excellence. The projects have ranged from student and faculty housing to athletic pavilion, hockey rink, and fieldhouse/squash center to dining and structural repairs to the historic Alumni Chapel.

The most recent project for The Hill School, the Shirley Quadrivium Center, encompassed the adaptive reuse and linking of two historic buildings located in the center of their occupied campus. The end result provides the students and faculty of The Hill with a new, modern state-of-the-art STEM academic learning space.
