Wohlsen Breaks Ground for Distribution Center

Wohlsen Construction Company recently broke ground on a $31.0 million, 450,000 square foot dis
tribution center located in Middletown, Delaware.

The project is being designed and constructed for Johnson Controls Inc. by the Design/Build team of Wohlsen Construction Company and Becker Morgan Group. Both firms have offices in Delaware.  The facility will be used for the filling and distribution of automotive batteries and is scheduled for completion in August 2011.  The award was made the first week of March. The design was completed in 4 weeks, while fast tracking the construction start of foundations and site work. As of the first week of June, the structural steel was complete.

The Building will be LEED Certified, a testament to the commitment of JCI towards sustainable building practices.
