Wohlsen Construction Apprentice Wins Craft Championship
Derek Herr of Wohlsen Construction Company won Apprentice Craft Competition Championship at the Keystone Chapter of Associated Builders and Contractors Construction Rodeo.
Derek Herr, of Lincoln University, PA, took the top honor in the Carpentry division. Mr. Herr will move on to the next round of the competition by competing at the National ABC competition being held in April 2011 in San Antonio, Texas.
The competition has two components: the written test, which counts for 25% of their total score; and the practical “hands on” competition, which counts for 75% of their total score.
