Wohlsen Construction Honored with 9 Awards

Wohlsen Construction Company received nine awards from the Keystone Chapter of Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) at the association’s Annual Excellence in Construction Awards Gala.

The Wohlsen Construction Operations Center project, located in Lancaster, Pa., won the Project of the Year Award.

Wohlsen’s five first place awards of excellence and three second place awards of merit represented the most awards received by any of the members at this year’s competition.

Wohlsen received Green Building recognition by winning first place in the GC LEED category for the Wohlsen Operations Center project as well as winning the First Place Excellence in Construction Award in the Commercial under $2 million category.

The New College House located on the campus of Franklin & Marshall College received First Place Excellence in Construction awards in the Institutional category as well as the Woodworking category.

Also winning a First Place Excellence in Construction Award was the Historic East Side Suites Urban Redevelopment project located in the City of Lancaster.

Earning Second Place Merit awards were the Weis College located on the campus of Franklin & Marshall College, the Mountain Springs Office Building located in Ephrata, and the Lancaster Rail yard Maintenance Facility for Norfolk Southern.

Wohlsen Construction Company, a Green Plus Certified company, was founded in 1890 and is one of the leading merit shop construction firms in the Mid-Atlantic States.
