Wohlsen Construction Receives Three Eastern PA ABC Awards
Wohlsen Construction Company received three awards from the Eastern PA Chapter of Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) at the association’s Annual Awards of Excellence banquet.

AIM Academy’s new Community Center
An Award of Excellence in the Institutional category was presented to Wohlsen for AIM Academy’s new Community Center in Conshohocken, PA. This 22,985-square-foot community center was designed by Blackney Hayes Architects, and serves as a comprehensive educational and recreational center for the school’s students, and is also home to the AIM Institute for Learning & Research, which offers state-of-the-art training to educators.

Interior Renovation of Paul’s Run Retirement Community
Wohlsen received a second Award of Excellence in the Restoration/Renovation category for Liberty Lutheran Services’ Paul’s Run Retirement Community in Philadelphia, PA. Designed by SFCS Architects, the project required selective demolition and renovations to three stories of an occupied Skilled Nursing and Assisted Living community.

Girl Scouts of Eastern PA’s Activity Center at Camp Laughing Waters
The third award Wohlsen received was the Champion of Merit Award for the Camping Facilities Upgrades for The Girl Scouts of Eastern PA. Located across three camps, the four new buildings and two renovations, designed by Blackney Hayes Architects, had the highest percentage of ABC member involvement.
Wohlsen is thankful to all of the owners, architects, engineers, and subcontractors that helped make these projects a success and a point of pride for all involved.
