Wohlsen Leads Competition in First-Place Awards at ABC Keystone’s Construction Awards
Wohlsen Construction received nine awards from the Keystone Chapter of Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) at the Association’s 29th Annual Excellence in Construction Awards Gala. Seven of these awards were first-place Awards of Excellence. This was the highest number of first-place awards received by any one participating firm.
Wohlsen was presented with five first-place Awards of Excellence for the construction of the following projects:
- Messiah College’s Sollenberger Sports Center in Mechanicsburg, PA – This project was also a nominee for Project of the Year.
- Lancaster Country Day School’s Physical Education and Athletic Center in Lancaster, PA
- Oak Tree Development’s Lime Spring Square in Lancaster, PA
- Oak Tree Development’s U-Gro Learning Center in Lancaster, PA
- Springwood Hospitality’s Tru Hotel in Lancaster, PA
Wohlsen’s self-perform carpentry team was recognized with two first-place Awards of Excellence for their work on the following projects:
- Lancaster Country Day School’s Physical Education and Athletic Center (woodworking)
- Springwood Hospitality’s Tru Hotel (woodworking)
Two Awards of Merit were presented to Wohlsen for the following projects:
- The Expansion and Renovation of Living Word Community Church in Red Lion, PA
- Oak Tree Development’s Brubaker Run Floodplain Restoration in Lancaster, PA
These accomplishments are a result of the resounding performance from the projects’ architects, engineers, and subcontractors. We are honored to have been part of so many successful and talented teams.
