Wohlsen Wins 16th National Award

Wohlsen Construction was selected as a Pyramid Winner in the 2014 Excellence in Construction Awards for the Woodward Hill Cemetery – Presidential Memorial Cremains Garden and Veterans Plaza project. This is Wohlsen’s 16th National Award from Associated Builders & Contractors.

The Excellence in Construction Awards is the industry’s leading competition, celebrating companies who embody leadership, innovation, and safety. Winning projects are recognized for their innovative and exceptional merit-shop construction. 

The Presidential Memorial Cremains Garden and Veterans Plaza project enhances the existing Woodward Hill Cemetery, which is located in Lancaster City. The cemetery was placed on the National Register of Historical Places and serves as a final resting place for prominent citizens of Lancaster, including U.S. President James Buchanan. The restorations and additions will enhance revenue, providing the cemetery with financial security for years to come.

Due to the project team’s strong leadership and teamwork The Presidential Memorial Cremains Garden and Veterans Plaza was nationally recognized, and an important historical landmark was sustained for generations to come.
