Project Type
Healthcare
Project Description
Construction of an addition to an occupied hospital facility. The new building has a cast-in-place concrete frame on a caisson foundation.
Special features include:
- 11 surgical suites
- Recovery area
- Outpatient medical procedure unit
- Parking garage
- Brick exterior facade with block backup
- Aluminum windows with Low E glazing
- Single-ply insulation on roof
- Hepa air filters
- Medintech® welded floors for the operating room suites.
A complex design and limited access to the work site created unique challenges. It was a complicated procedure, but the entire operation was completed two months early and under the original budget.
