Project Description
Construction management services to restore and expand historic structure built in 1925 and listed on the National Register of Historic Places included:
- 74 faculty offices
- 14 classrooms
- Case study room
- Computer labs
- Writing Center
- Auditorium-theater type classroom
- Courtyard
Construction challenges included:
- Excavating 7 feet of earth and underpinning existing building
- Shoring and extending basement columns in place to lower basement floor by 3 feet
- Upgrading all MEP systems
- Replication and restoration of chair rail, mill work, pedestal, plaques, plaster cornices, and chandelier
- Replication of 8 exterior rosettes
